Welcome to another empowering article from The Cellulite Site blog.
I hope you’re having an amazing day and are well into establishing your new daily rituals by incorporating the steps from The Cellulite Circuit. By now, you should be feeling quite comfortable with steps 1, 2, and 3 of The Cellulite Circuit. If steps 1, 2, or 3 are unfamiliar to you, I encourage you to go back and read those blogs. Each step in The Cellulite Circuit is designed to be built upon and performed daily.
In this blog, let’s shift our focus to the 4th step in your daily routine, aimed at combating and conquering stubborn areas where cellulite has developed. Join me as we explore my unique story and the advantages of not only owning but actively utilizing the FasciaBlaster tools by Ashley Black!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, or may have heard it but are unsure of what fascia really is, fascia serves as the connecting tissue for all other connective tissues, encompassing muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and blood.
There exist four distinct types of fascia—structural, intersectoral, visceral, and spinal—yet they maintain interconnectedness.
In a state of health, fascia demonstrates flexibility, suppleness, and smooth gliding. Given its pervasive presence and connections throughout the body, think about fascia like a tablecloth. A tug at one corner has the potential to alter the position of everything else on the table.
My first encounter with Ashley Black and her delightful personality happened on Instagram. Whether it was her approachable nature, my admiration for the confidence she exuded in assisting others, or the intriguing tools and techniques she shared, I can’t pinpoint a single reason that captivated me. It appears to be a harmonious blend of all three factors. She embodies the epitome of a boss-babe, and my admiration for her knows no bounds!
The FasciaBlaster has undoubtably found its way into our homes, and some of you may already possess these tried and true tools. Personally, I have four different types! I collected them, anticipating that one day, my body would undergo a transformation. However, I learned that merely having multiple tools won’t yield benefits – you must invest time and effort to see results! My initial intention was to use the blasters during a relaxing, hot shower. Three out of my four tools have been my shower companions for about three years – so long that they developed a bit of mold! I guess even the house cleaner overlooked them!
But before we delve into step 4, let me share a bit of history:
The first tool I started with was Ashley’s original FasciaBlaster. Initially, I used it sporadically, finding it surprisingly painful (later learning from my chiropractor that this was beneficial!).
Stamina became a requirement, especially when targeting the backs of my legs, buttocks, and thighs. Attempting to count to 50 while navigating narrow sections left me breathless and fatigued. Except for the occasional monthly encounter, the tool primarily occupied my shower space, silently questioning, “Why am I here if you’re not going to wield me?”
Not willing to abandon the aspiration of achieving a cellulite-free existence, I convinced myself that acquiring the Mini tool was the key to sustaining my interest. Believing this smaller variant would be the catalyst for daily use, I eagerly unwrapped the new tool, anticipating it to be the magical wand I had been searching for. The initial excitement waned, and so did my optimism about bidding farewell to cellulite. While the Mini tool proved more favorable than the original FasciaBlaster—being easier to handle, maneuver, and focus on targeted areas—I found myself with not just one, but two FasciaBlasters in the shower. Ironically, as the collection grew, my cellulite appeared to be worsening.
Believing this smaller variant would be the catalyst for daily use, I eagerly unwrapped the new tool, anticipating it to be the magical wand I had been searching for.

Determined to explore other possibilities, I shifted my focus to my face, believing there was room for improvement in that area also. After all, I thought, I’m in my early 50’s – those wrinkles are sneaking up on me too! Thinking that the smaller surface area might yield more visible changes, I decided to invest in the FaceBlaster and OMGBlasters.
Eager to establish a consistent routine, I envisioned incorporating this into my evening wind-down, aligning seamlessly with my bedtime preparations. This, I thought, could be the manageable change I needed. Little did I realize that it would also be effective on the abdomen!
During a visit to my chiropractor a few months ago, as he was inflicting a tremendous amount of pain on me, unable to barely breathe – he uttered the words, “you’ve got to get in there and tear things apart!” At that moment, it suddenly dawned on me that the FasciaBlaster tools essentially serve the same purpose. Both chiropractic sessions and the FasciaBlaster inflict substantial pain as they target specific areas. It’s only after breaking through the barrier that you feel and see the results. Shaken up a bit after, I left the office with the knowledge I needed to start incorporating a daily routine with the tools into my life, well beyond shower accessories.
I decided to see if my newfound wisdom carried any scientific merit with it. While researching the subject, I came across an article from Healthline.com and one of the questions that caught my attention was, “Are there benefits to using the FasciaBlaster?
The answer was encouraging. The article went on to state that some people who have tried fascia blasting report that it has various benefits, including:
Despite these anecdotal reports, there isn’t much research on fascia blasting.
To date, the only research that’s been conducted is a small study from 2019. The article was authored by Ashley Black, the inventor of the FasciaBlaster, and researchers from The Applied Science and Performance Institute in Tampa, Florida.
The study involved 33 women with thigh cellulite. The participants used the FasciaBlaster on their thighs 5 days a week for 12 consecutive weeks. The researchers measured the women’s subcutaneous thigh fat, or fat under the skin, every 4 weeks.
After 12 weeks, the researchers found that the women’s subcutaneous thigh fat had decreased. They also observed a reduction in the appearance of cellulite. According to the authors of this study, fascia manipulation could help cellulite by freeing the fat cells from the fibrous bands.
As the article continued, it mentioned various ways to reduce fascia, including foam rolling (which I do like and we will cover the benefits of it in another episode), anti-cellulite massages, mayofascia release therapy, and ultra-sound. However, I was specifically seeking a home-based method that I could seamlessly integrate into my routine.
Without any delay, I initiated a daily and consistent routine the very next day!
As a quick side note, I’m always excited to share the products I adore with you! One thing that I absolutely love to incorporate into my shower experience is a product called European Spa Mist. It literally transforms your senses, making you feel like you are at a spa! I spray about three squirts away from my face, usually pointed toward the floor. The Eucalyptus scent makes me feel like I can take the time that I need for my “me” time because I know the rest of the day will be a busy blur. It truly helps me enjoy the experience, and because I associate the shower spa scent with fascia blasting, I can’t do one without the other.
Once my shower mood is set, I pump a squirt of the most invigorating scented cellulite oil from M3-Naturals Anti-Cellulite Massage Oil. It piggybacks on the spa mist, continuing the spa-like scent and feeling. The oil is collagen and stem cell-infused, with a combination of grapeseed, eucalyptus, lemon, and grapefruit oils. It glides smoothly, allowing the tools to move across the skin without pulling or tugging.
The sensation of my skin turning a deep shade of crimson is truly invigorating while using the FasciaBlaster tools. The rush of blood to the surface feels like a tangible accomplishment, a testament to a job well done. It’s a satisfying indicator of the intensity and dedication I invest in each session with the FasciaBlasters.
I’ve learned to embrace the discomfort that comes with using these tools daily. Actively seeking out the lumps and bumps beneath my skin, I find satisfaction in the opportunity to delve deep into those areas.
Given the substantial surface area to cover each day, my approach varies depending on time constraints. Some days, I focus intensely on one side, addressing the fronts and backs of thighs, hips, and buttocks. On the same leg, during the same session, I seamlessly alternate between the original FasciaBlaster and the Mini, creating a dynamic and effective routine. At the very least, I dedicate 4-5 minutes to each side of my legs, hips, and buttocks, daily. Additionally, I’ll incorporate the use of the Face Mini by multitasking, applying it to my stomach while rinsing shampoo or conditioner from my hair. Though it requires a bit coordination, it’s a practical two-in-one – accomplishing both tasks simultaneously.
I am happy to testify that after two months of unwavering consistency, I’ve experienced a noticeable transformation! The once nagging thought of “what’s the use” has faded away, replaced by a growing comfort that allows me to confidently wear short skirts. The visible reduction in bumps on my thighs is both tangible and empowering. I’ve moved beyond questioning the utility of my efforts and shifted towards a mindset of commitment, dismissing concerns about finding time for longer durations. The results have become a testament to the efficacy of a dedicated approach to the FasciaBlaster routine when combined with The Cellulite Circuit.
