Living without cellulite is within reach with Cellfina. As the first long-lasting, minimally invasive solution, it has been shown to effectively reduce dimples for at least three years with just one treatment. Let’s investigate whether this claim truly delivers on its promises.
Writing about minimally invasive cellulite treatments can be a challenging task, especially when the experiences and outcomes are so varied. For instance, if you tuned into my podcast on Cellulaze, you might recall the mixed reviews. Some patients reported significant improvements, while others shared their struggles, feeling their results negatively impacted their confidence and leaving them reluctant to go without a cover-up. Yet, there are also those who claim it was the best decision they ever made, now flaunting their bodies in bikinis with newfound confidence! In this blog, I’ll explore these contrasting perspectives, highlighting the divided reviews surrounding this treatment.
When it comes to cellulite, many of us have been there—feeling frustrated, self-conscious, and even a little defeated. The dimpling, sagging, and lack of confidence can take a toll, and the worst part? Traditional treatments often fall short, leaving us feeling like we’re fighting a losing battle. Creams, scrubs, and endless exercises might provide temporary relief, but they rarely address the root cause of the problem. And let’s be real—who hasn’t felt emotional about the way their body looks? The embarrassment, the shame, the anxiety—it’s a heavy burden to carry.
Cellulite can be so much more than just a perceived physical imperfection—it can affect our mood, our relationships, and even our daily lives. Many of us hide behind baggy clothes or avoid social situations simply because we’re not feeling confident in our own skin. And that’s not even mentioning the countless hours we spend trying to get rid of it, only to feel disappointed and frustrated. It’s time to break free from that vicious cycle and take control of our body confidence. What if there’s a better way to tackle this issue? Introducing Cellfina is a minimally invasive solution that promises lasting results by addressing the structural changes beneath the skin that cause cellulite.
Cellfina is a breakthrough treatment specifically designed to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The innovative approach directly targets the fibrous bands under the skin, known as septae, that create dimpling. By effectively releasing these bands, Cellfina can provide a smoother and more even skin texture. The emotional burden that comes with cellulite can be significant, but when a highly skilled surgeon performs this treatment, patients are offered a chance to reclaim their confidence and feel empowered in their own skin.
Study Overview: A 2018 study examined the efficacy of Cellfina in women in Germany. The goal was to assess how well this treatment worked in reducing cellulite.
Methods: Fifteen women, aged 30 to 51, were treated for cellulite on their thighs and buttocks using this device. Doctors and patients assessed the results before and six months after the treatment. The study measured how much the cellulite improved using photographs, a cellulite severity scale, patient satisfaction surveys, and doctor evaluations.
Results: Six months after the single treatment:
Conclusion: This study showed that the treatment is effective and well-tolerated, requiring just one session to significantly reduce the appearance of cellulite. Both the patients and doctors were highly satisfied with the results, which were consistent with findings from similar studies in the U.S.
The procedure typically takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being treated. After numbing the skin, a small, precise needle is used to cut the fibrous bands beneath the skin. The Cellfina device is a small hand held tool that has a sleek modern look to it
Device features a fine needlelike instrument that’s attached to vacuum assisted suction cup. This cup gently pulls up the skin, allowing the device to precisely release those fiberous bands that cause dimples. The procedure is minimally invasive so it’s designed to smooth out the skin without extensive downtime.
Patients report mild discomfort, but most can return to their normal activities within a few days – I’d give it a week. Expect some bruising and swelling, but these should subside within a month.
The procedure is minimally invasive and the recovery time is reported to be 12-21 days. If the treatment is performed correctly, results are normally visible within 1 month after treatment.
It’s done under local anesthesia, and is generally considered safe. Serious side effects, such as infection, deep, painful bruising, or fluid buildup, are rare. However, you will see that if performed incorrectly, it’s taken some women years for the impact of the surgery to subside.
What Results Can You Hope to Attain?
One of the biggest claims that is made of Cellfina is the longevity of its results.
And hopefully, those are good results!
While many non-invasive treatments require frequent upkeep, Cellfina offers smoother skin that lasts for up to three years or more. Most patients see noticeable improvements within a few days, with optimal results appearing after 3 to 6 months.
While all of this information sounds promising, it’s essential to explore the other side with Real Experiences, Real Considerations.
While Cellfina offers a minimally invasive solution for cellulite, it’s crucial to understand the full spectrum of potential outcomes, including those that have been shared by patients who’ve undergone the procedure. As with any treatment, results can vary widely, and it’s essential to weigh both the positive experiences and the challenges others have faced.
On RealSelf, a site where individuals share their experiences with cosmetic procedures, some Cellfina patients have reported long-term side effects that were unexpected. For example, one reviewer shared that they were “not expecting to be dealing with the side effects of Cellfina over a year after the procedure.”
This user described noticeable, persistent lumps of scar tissue and prominent scarring on their thighs, which they continue to manage with massage and ultrasound therapy.
Another user echoed these concerns, stating, “For me, Cellfina was not worth it! The recovery has been long, painful, and stressful.” They expressed disappointment with the lasting effects, despite some improvement in the appearance of cellulite on her buttocks.
These stories reflect just one side of the experience spectrum. For some, the results outweigh the downsides.
However, others caution that the procedure may leave behind new issues, like scarring and lump formation, which can feel as frustrating as the cellulite it aimed to treat. As one patient advised, “Cellfina is not a proven procedure, and the risks of side effects are too high… If you go through with it, be prepared for a long recovery.”
As the pendulum swings to the other side – Despite the poor reviews on Real Self, there are many incredible success stories that I have found on individual websites that highlights the impact of this revolutionary treatment. The before and after images are a direct contrast to what is found on the review sites.
The before and after images on the sights of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons look amazing! It’s hard to know who performed the surgeries on the women who offered their reviews and images on Realself.
So how do you know if Cellfina is right for you?
When considering Cellfina or any cellulite treatment, it’s crucial to take your time and not rush your decision. Thorough research and a comprehensive understanding of the procedure are essential. Here are some key steps to guide you in your decision-making process:
1. Consult Experienced and Reputable Board Certified Professionals: Seek out practitioners with extensive experience in administering Cellfina. Inquire about both their successes and challenges to gain a balanced perspective.
2. Set Realistic Expectations: While the aim is to achieve smoother skin, be aware of potential trade-offs, such as temporary bruising, scarring, or lumps. Reflect on how you feel about these possible outcomes, as some women have said, “they seem permanent”
3. Evaluate the Emotional Impact: While cellulite can significantly affect body confidence, dissatisfaction with treatment results will take a toll, leaving you feeling helpless in finding additional solutions that cost more time and money. At least with cellulite, you know it occurs on 90% of women and it’s not as shameful as the scars from surgery that these poor women feel like they have to hide behind. Carefully consider your priorities and emotional well-being as you navigate this decision.
Walk away from a surgeon who puts pressure on you or tells you that surgery is the only way to feel confident in your skin.
Taking the time to consider these factors will empower you to make a choice that aligns with your personal goals. You deserve a treatment plan that respects your values, and body goals while safeguarding your emotional well-being; and your self worth.
It’s always wise to listen to your body and do what feels right for you. Every procedure has pros and cons, and ultimately, the right choice is one that aligns with your personal goals and comfort level.
So how does Cellfina compare to other treatments?
While other non-invasive treatments like Resonic or Acoustic Wave Therapy can help smooth the skin, they often require multiple sessions and continuous maintenance.
Cellfina, on the other hand, claims that it is a one-time procedure with results that last up to 3 years, making it a popular choice for those seeking a more permanent solution. I just hope that permanent solution is one that they were hoping for!
Pricing for Cellfina can vary depending on your location and the size of the treatment area, ranging from $3,500 to $8,000.
To wrap things up, Cellfina may or may not be your magic wand—it’s important to remember that results can be as unpredictable as finding a good parking spot. While it offers the potential to boost body confidence and help tackle the emotional rollercoaster that comes with cellulite, everyone’s journey is different.
