The holidays are here, and that means more travel, delicious feasts, and time spent with loved ones! However, the season also brings more sitting, indulging, and busy schedules—all of which can increase the appearance of cellulite. In fact, nearly 80% of women notice an uptick in cellulite during the holiday season. But don’t worry! With some mindful preparation, you can enjoy every moment and keep cellulite where it belongs—beneath the skin’s surface.
Here’s my ultimate travel guide to stay cellulite-free during the holidays!
With Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s just around the corner, holiday travel can throw our wellness routines off track. Long hours of sitting in planes or cars can lead to poor circulation and lymphatic slowdown, which can cause puffiness and make cellulite more noticeable. But there are ways to keep up our routines, even on the road.
This guide will equip you with the tools and tips to feel smooth, confident, and radiant throughout your travels!
Start with your beauty survival kit! These are the top tools from my Cellulite Circuit routine that I never travel without:
Dry Brush: This is a must for boosting circulation and lymphatic drainage, keeping skin firm and radiant. Dry brushing also preps your skin for maximum absorption of moisturizers and other products.
Lure Essential Cup: This compact tool is perfect for cupping therapy, which releases muscle tension, boosts blood flow, and helps smooth the skin. With just a few minutes of use, you’ll notice an improvement in skin texture and tone.
Fascia Blaster Mini: Originally for facial use, this handy tool is perfect for targeting lower body areas, releasing fascia, and improving circulation to reduce dimpling.
Gua Sha Tool: Known for its facial rejuvenation benefits, it’s also excellent for the body. It helps reduce puffiness and relieve tension—perfect after a long flight.
M3 Naturals Anti-Cellulite Massage Oil: Made with natural collagen and stem cell ingredients, this oil enhances the effects of your massage tools, leaving your skin hydrated and glowing.
Pro tip: Transfer your massage oil into travel-friendly, leak-proof bags to save space!
Long flights or car rides can slow down lymphatic drainage, leading to swelling and discomfort. Here’s how to counteract it:
Start your day with a Rise and Rinse! Begin with warm water and fresh lemon juice 20 minutes before breakfast. This simple step helps kickstart your metabolism, boosts immunity, and prepares you for a day of festivities. Lemons support liver function, aid digestion, and are a fantastic source of vitamin C—perfect for keeping your skin glowing while traveling.
Dehydration is a common holiday issue, especially with increased alcohol and caffeine intake. Drinking plenty of water helps flush out toxins, maintains skin elasticity, and keeps cellulite at bay.
When I travel, I bring Key Nutrients Electrolytes to add to my water, helping me stay hydrated and energized. Keeping hydrated is essential not just for radiant skin but also for maintaining energy levels during those packed holiday schedules.
The holiday season brings a bounty of tempting sweets and carbs, which can lead to spikes in insulin and contribute to the appearance of cellulite. While it’s okay to indulge, balance is key. Choose snacks like fresh fruit, veggies, and nuts for sustained energy and to avoid cellulite-inducing effects of processed sugars and carbs.
With a few mindful habits, you can enjoy every festive moment without sacrificing your progress. It’s all about finding balance, nourishing your body, and keeping up the small routines that make you feel fabulous.
